How a Biomass Pellet Machine Works
The pelletizing process uses mechanical compression, die holes and friction heat to reshape loose biomass into uniform cylindrical pellets.

Prepare raw material
Biomass is crushed or chipped to a suitable size. Moisture is adjusted to support stable forming and reduce die blockage.
Force feed into pellet chamber
The prepared material enters the pellet mill evenly. The roller presses material against the ring die surface.
Compression through die holes
High pressure and friction heat soften lignin in biomass. The material is extruded through die holes and cut into pellets.
Cool, screen and pack
Fresh pellets are cooled to strengthen density, screened to remove fines, then packed or stored for fuel use.
Why Choose Cronus Biomass Pellet Equipment
Designed for real plant conditions: mixed biomass feedstock, daily operation, maintenance access and project delivery.
Robust pellet mill structure
Heavy-duty frame, stable transmission and wear-resistant pelletizing components support continuous industrial operation.
Flexible raw material adaptation
Line configuration can be matched to straw, sawdust, corn cobs, branches, recycled boards, rice husk and mixed biomass.
Higher pellet density
Optimized die compression ratio and feeding control help improve pellet forming rate, density and appearance.
Lower dust and cleaner workshop
Conveying, cooling and screening sections can be equipped with dust collection to improve plant environment.
Turnkey engineering support
Cronus provides process design, layout, equipment selection, installation guidance and commissioning support.
Long manufacturer history
Backed by Guilin Mining Machinery, Cronus benefits from more than 50 years of equipment production experience.
Biomass Materials and Industries
One production line can be engineered around your local feedstock and final pellet fuel market.

Straw and Crop Stalks
For farms and agricultural waste recycling projects.

Corn Cobs
Convert corn residues into valuable biomass fuel pellets.

Branches and Waste Wood
Suitable for forestry residue, wood boards and sawmill by-products.
Configurable Equipment Modules

Biomass Pellet Machine FAQ
Answers to common questions from fuel pellet plant buyers.
What raw materials can be used?
Common materials include sawdust, straw, corn cobs, rice husk, grass, peanut shell, branches, wood shavings, recycled wood boards and other biomass. The final configuration depends on moisture and particle size.
Do I need a dryer?
If raw material moisture is high or unstable, a dryer is recommended. Proper moisture improves pellet forming, output stability and die life.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Please provide raw material type, initial moisture, required output, plant space, final packing method, local voltage and whether crushing or drying is already available.
Can Cronus provide a complete production line?
Yes. Cronus can provide single machines, auxiliary equipment and a complete biomass pellet production line with layout design and commissioning support.
What pellet applications are common?
Biomass pellets are commonly used as boiler fuel, heating fuel, industrial energy, farm fuel and renewable solid fuel for local energy projects.
